Contact Zone (2024-) - Live Cinema Performance
Contact Zone is a live cinema project that brings together artists from the diasporas of countries formerly colonized by Portugal and now living in Lisbon. By combining live audiovisual performance, music, and painting, the project creates spaces for cultural exchange and celebrates the diverse narratives, memories, and identities that connect these communities.
In collaboration with the collective of artists Zelu @colectivozelu, we highlight the importance of this space as an intersection point where different cultural heritages intertwine, creating new narratives and forms of expression for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) artists in Lisbon.
Our live cinema sessions create immersive cultural and artistic encounters that amplify the diverse narratives of these communities through the real-time collaboration of artists working across audiovisual storytelling, music, and painting.
